Yamagiwa: Tokujin Yoshioka Tofu lamp: NOVA68.COM MODERN DESIGN
Description
Tofu table lamp:
Designed by Tokujin Yoshioka for Yamagiwa Japan, 2000.
Tokujin Yoshioka is one of Japan's most promising new designers. Tokujin Yoshioka's works can be found in the MoMA, Vitra and Centre Georges Pompidou collections. He still works closely together with Issey Miyake on several projects and learned design from Shiro Kuramata. TOFU lamp, similar to the popular Japanese food. is created using a delicate manufacturing and cutting technique. Tofu becomes complete when the illuminant is inserted. The significance of Tofu is manifested through light, not the lamp.
