Women's Clothes: Women's Striped Toggle-Front Sweater Coats: Long-Sleeve Sweaters | Old Navy

After years of noticing trends come, go, or stick around forever (leggings, anyone?) I've learned to never say never. After all, if I'm not totally sold on a trend, I can always grab something inexpensive at Forever 21 and not feel bad once it's played out. The latest one to hit the streets (and my closet) is the military trend. I'm not talking about military with big brass buttons or epaulets on the shoulders. Instead, it's the down and dirty army surplus style made chic by the likes of Rag & Bone and even Zac Posen. If you're on a budget, take a look at the Twill Tie-Belt Jacket that's less than $40 and super chic when paired with a super girly skirt and blouse underneath. If you're not a fan of the jackets, check out the Ecote Surplus Military Shortie that's perfect with a simple t-shirt and ankle boots. Take a look at my slideshow to see my top picks!
News flash: ankle-wraps aren't just for ballet pointe shoes! Aside from the possibility of some rather "unique" tan lines, wrap sandals make for super-cute summer footwear, especially when it comes to accessorizing bare legs while you're rockin' a pair of short shorts or your favorite denim mini. Add height (and a bit of embellishment too) with a pair of ankle-wrap espadrille wedges like this Colin Stuart pair, or opt for some slightly more casual flats like these Jeffrey Campbell Batik sandals, which still pack quite a punch with their bright dyed print! Or to hit up the summer parties after the pool, these silk wrap sandals from Bebe put a sexy, dressy spin on the trend! Be careful when choosing the right pair, though -- ankle wraps in general have the tendency to shorten legs, so unless you're gifted with long, lean, supermodel-worthy legs, make sure to choose a style and color that's flattering! After all, if they're not making your calves look killer, what's the point? Scope out the slideshow for a selection of my favorite wrap sandals!
