Budget Babe Sneak Peek: The Macy's Spring Lookbook!
The Macy's Spring 2010 Lookbook is out, showcasing some of top trends we can expect to see in their ready-to-wear collection. Sequins are back, as are oversized pieces paired with skinny elements. Stripes, florals and what they're calling Afrique-Chic prints all make appearances on tops, skirts and dresses. I'm loving Rachel Roy's khaki coat paired with a bright blue top as well as that delicious embellished abstract-floral dress from DKNY. The return of canary yellow is also a welcome sign that spring is in the air (somewhere). I'm also impressed by the sophisticated styling, looks more Neiman Marcus than Macy's to me! But of course, with Macy's comes the affordable pricing we prefer. What say you? Make sure to click over to The Budget Babe for more spring looks for less!
Hot In The Hive: Flat Flower Vases
by Anna Yu
I bet you're the type of person who gets lots of flowers delivered to you on a regular basis. Whether it's your significant other sending a dozen roses to celebrate your anniversary or your best friends delivering a birthday bouquet, your home always smells like a garden. So I can also understand why you've also run out of vases to store the beautiful flowers. I've seen makeshift vases from small mason jars, milk boxes, and even wine bottles. While those options may do its job, it certainly doesn't do the flowers (or the giver) any justice! Then again, it's not like we have tons of storage space for glass vases under the kitchen sink. Well, I've found a perfect solution and they're called Flat Flower Vases! These vinyl vases lie flat, but when you need to use them, just fill it up with water and you're ready to go. Price: $24Who Found It: kevygee was the first to add Flat Flower Vases to the Hive.
