Tokyomade Online Shop: Tokyo style by Tokyo and Japan-based designers
Description
The Nani Bird series of curious black birds painted by Tokyo-based illustrator Josh McKible was created as a reflection of his life here in Tokyo. The word nani is Japanese for What?
Every little birdie is unique, all 100 of them.
Each painting is actually a collage of sumi ink, gouache paint, and flocked velvet on a wooden panel. The birds are cut out of the flocked velvet, which produces a really deep, dark black. Each panel is stamped on the back with my MCKIBILLO seal.
