The Electronics World | Canon EF 15mm f/2.8 Fisheye Lens for Canon SLR Cameras
by Ida Hsiang
In the past few years, digital cameras have been all the rage; many of them now include video options, panoramic capabilities and a multitude of other features that I have no idea how to handle. Most everyone has, or has access to, a digital camera; and with the hyper-popularity of Facebook, we can post our documented activities for all to see. While I'm just as hooked on social networking as anyone else, I do miss the days of physical photographs and making bulletin board collages to add a touch of personality to my room. But the process of taking your memory card to a photo center, choosing which pics make the cut, then waiting for an hour PLUS having to pay is just too much in this new world of instant gratification. Speaking of instant gratification, remember the Polaroid? That little, boxy camera that spit out little, boxy photos that appeared with a few flicks of the wrist? Well, they're back and better than ever! With a new, sleeker look and instant high quality pics (you won't have to sprain your wrist trying to get an image to appear either), the Polaroid 300 is the newest thing from the picture taking past. The Polaroid 300 allows you to snap pics of the memories you'd like to keep and give you an instant, business card sized glossy print that you can keep and look at without having to sift few thousands of other pictures on your thumb drive or FB photo albums. Bring one to your next big event and start snapping!Price: $89.99Who Found It: idabone was first to add the Polaroid 300 to the Hive.
We may have left Christmas in the dust (unless you're like me and are still buying presents for yourself with the gift returns), but it's never too soon to start thinking about your next wish list! If you're a gadget girl and still haven't outgrown your 2nd grade crush on everything Hello Kitty (guilty as charged!), allow me to introduce the Hello Kitty Casio EX-Z90 Digital Camera, from one Sanrio fanatic to another. In honor of Miss Kitty's 35th Anniversary, Casio has unveiled a fancy feline version of its 12.1 megapixel Exilim camera, complete with a bedazzled chrome pink shell and a matching case and wrist strap! It's a little pink for my taste, but given my love for HK and the quality of the camera, if I had an extra $500 to blow, I'd be sold!Price: $499.99Who Found It: xgalexy was the first to add the Hello Kitty Casio Camera to the Hive.
