If anything could put you in a summer mood, it's the new Calypso St. Barth for Target collection that's available now online and in stores. I headed down to my nearest Target store (Daly City/Seramonte Mall) and was pleasently surprised to find a lot of the items available and in stock. The collection ranges from womens (including swimwear and lingerie) and girls/toddler/infant clothing to accessories (think beachy totes, espadrilles, jewelry) as well as some eclectic pieces for the home. My favorite by far is this turquoise Fan-Print Dress ($36.99) that I am actually wearing now with leggings, my gold bangles, and gold Tory Burch flats. (It's a rare warm day here in SF!) I will mention that the photos online don't do the collection justice at all. They look so much better in person! I was really surprised at the quality and the beautiful dyeing details in the fabric.See more of the Calypso St. Barth for Target collection by clicking over to our friends at Coquette!

Sometimes we all need a little retail therapy and a few new trendy pieces at a steal, but a smart way to save some money and help you rack up designer pieces is to invest in timeless basics that will never go out of style!Look for versatile and neutral colors - black, creams and greys - made of high quality materials and construction. Classic shapes and silhouettes will always be flattering and outlast any current trend. You don't need to spend a thousand dollars (although that'd be nice) on an investment piece. Just weigh your options ... three $60 purses that will never see the light of day again by this time next year, or a buttery leather satchel from your favorite designer that you'll be toting around when your kid graduates college and still look stylish?Choosing to invest in key basics may be a splurge now, but will keep money in the bank in the long run!
