Rain Frogs earrings
Description
Tree frogs grace delightful earrings by Albert Ickenroth. He crafts the fanciful figures in lustrous silver (0.940) bathed in 22k gold. They make an enchanting reminder of Mexico.
Among the ancient Maya, frogs were harbingers of rain. When offerings were made to the rain god, four small boys were tied to each corner of the altar. Their job was to chirp like frogs to call the life-giving showers.
