Description

When Portia Wells was briefed to create a pen and pencil holder, she decided to challenge the redundancy of the design task. Wells located appropriate vessels, including ceramic mugs, small vases and even a bunny-shaped plant holder; scouring flea markets, thrift shops and garage sales for her finds. She even officially dictated the design(nated) purpose of the found objects by printing "Pen and Pencil Holder" on the ceramic surface with gold type.
