Inside each bola is a sort of tiny xylophone. From approximately twenty weeks into pregnancy, a baby can hear and recognise sounds in the womb. If you wear the ball regularly, low on your belly, your baby will grow familiar with the gentle chiming sound of the bola. Your baby will experience the special sound as soothing, both before and after birth. Once baby's born, just adjust the leather string to wear them as unusual pendants for any occasion.
