Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise were falling over themselves to compliment Giorgio Armani on his design of Katie's bright red gown at last night's Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute Gala. "I love it!" Katie gushed to Stylehive on the event's red carpet. "It's so beautiful," agreed her squinty-eyed, slightly shorter hubby. And Katie's was just the first of many stunning - and sometimes stupefying! - gowns at the ultimate of ultimate fashion parties. Chaired by Julia Roberts, George Clooney, and Anna Wintour, the fashion fete didn't come cheap. Tables for the dinner were sold out at $75,000 to $250,000 each!
