Getaway To La Residence Hotel And Spa In Vietnam

    by Anna Yu

Visitors traveling to Vietnam usually find themselves in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City. While those cities have a lot of offer, the city of Hue in central Vietnam is a can't miss location. Home of the country's former imperial capital, La Residence Hotel & Spa is a restored governor's mansion transformed into a 122 room hotel. The hotel sits alongside the Perfume River so it's easy to go out and hiking along the trails, visit ancient temples yet also go back to the lap of luxury at the end of the day. Relax at the spa with a skin repair massage complete with deep exfoliation and followed by a powerful and soothing traditional Vietnamese massage. Best part of all, rooms and spa treatments won't break your bank! Doubles start at $230 per night and massages are around $30. The Art Deco style hotel make it easy to imagine you're back in the Jazz Age as a visiting diplomat. Check out my slideshow to see more of La Residence!

Video Style Steal: Lykke Li In "Breaking It Up"

    by Pauline Montupet

Many pop stars throw around some sultry rock n' roll looks for their videos and magazine spreads, leaving us feeling like they're playing dress up. Not as much can be said for Swedish songstress Lykke Li-- she is the real deal. With her long blond hair and angelic eyes rimmed in black liner she is one part angel, one part rock goddess. In her video for hit song "Breaking It Up," she exudes fierce and unapologetic sex appeal. The video feels as though it's set in a modern day Warhol-esque factory and features Lykke dancing around in a totally enviable outfit. A body conscious black dress topped off with an oversized white jacket and some black booties may sound boring at first, but it's anything but. To get the look, try Opening Ceremony's zip up back lattice dress. While she wears a more exaggerated silhouette jacket, I think the Madison Marcus "Alliance" jacket would work just as well. Dangerously high black booties are funked up a little bit by layering some mid calf white socks. Don't forget to pile on the rings- one on each finger if you can, or fake it with Bijules' bar ring that covers three fingers. A long statement chain necklace adds the perfect amount of glam and rock chic making simple black and white look so good. Watch the video and check out the slideshow to see how to get Lykke's look!
