By the extraordinary Hattie Carnegie, whose designs can be found at the National Museum of American History and the Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art, among many others. Pauline Trigére, Claire McCardell, and Norman Norell all began their careers designing for Hattie Carnegie. She designed for Joan Crawford, the Duchess of Windsor, and many others.
