Fig and Plum: Convertible Mittens (a.k.a. Glittens!)

Description

All told, this is a great pattern. It's hard to find a convertible pattern for worsted weight yarn, and they're a lot quicker to knit than the typical sock-yarn pattern. The drawback is that for someone like me with small hands, the fingers are a bit thick and restrictive (when I make my own glittens, I plan to use the Broad Street pattern from Knitty). But for a guy, they seem ideal.
