Twenty-somethings Lisa Mayock and Sophie Buhia are not your average super-talented, model-gorgeous design duo. Their love of vintage and found objects, combined with a stellar eye for detail has landed them at the top of their class, creating sexy, flattering designs that are never clingy, instantly classic, and appeal to everyone from top fashion mag editors to style-making starlets like Maggie Gyllenhall and Rachel Bilson.
Inspired by the interplay between fashion and art, every piece in their collection is infused with a playful hint of personality, from the hand-drawn prints on so many of their softly draped dresses to found items--like a vintage bead or an abalone shell--incorporated in a purely decorative way.
Vena Cava, named after "vein to the heart" has been featured in Vogue and Teen Vogue, Elle, Harper's, Lucky, and The New York Times.
