Made for the 1980 feature film "Flash Gordon" directed by Mike Hodges. Two time Academy Award winning Donati designed this sculptural console of brass, steel and travertine, with a half inch smoked glass top. The console's angular legs and asymmetric design presages the Deconstructivist movement of the 80's and 90's. Donati was nominated for two BAFTA awards for his production and costume design for Flash Gordon.
