Aymara Highland Embroidered Alpaca Shawl
Description
For thousands of years, Aymara and Quechua women have wrapped themselves in soft alpaca ruanas, or capes to guard against the chill of the Andes. Our dramatic and contemporary ruana is enlivened with bold embroidered flowers and black satin trim. Woven by hand in El Alto, Bolivia, and finished with a special process that renders it soft and supple, its simple cut in starkly contrasting black and red makes an elegant alternative to a coat. 68% baby alpaca/32% wool. Made in Bolivia. Dry clean only. One size fits most.
