This one of a kind bag has been created using vintage meisen kimono silk. Japanese meisen silk has not been made since the 1950's and reflects an eventful era in the changing lives of women living in and around the Tokyo region during the late Meiji period. Kimono colors and patterns became more bold and adventurous at this time, meisen silk was favoured by young urbanites. Chi Bag brings the sass and style of Japanese women from a bygone era and molds it into a modern tote. The red outer silk is lined with chocolate cotton featuring an inner pocket showing the Chi Bag label.
