Aldo Barreto, industrial design student from Ontario Canada, has designed this ultramodern baby car seat for competition for luggage company Samsonite. Barreto’s goal with this project was to, “Design a child transportation vessel that eliminates the inconvenience brought on by a multitude of redundant child travel products.” The ‘Tot Pod’ has an integrated child restraint system, carrying handle and a useful storage compartment in the back. Barreto’s concept also has drop down wheels to convert the car seat to a stroller. When not in use the whole thing folds shut like a clam shell.
