This collection is very influenced by proportions, and how the foot shape can be distorted by placing a heavier emphasis through color or cut on the top or bottom, in order to more sensually represent the foot. Its inspiration is based on the female form; top-heavy or bottom-heavy. Cut-outs, ties, holes, and unexpected curves pronounce the arch and exaggerate the instep, producing a provocative yet refined effect. The colors are more skin-toned and muted than past collections, utilizing flashes of bright colors through the use of gold or pastels. All Marcello Toshi shoes are traditionally handcrafted by local artisans in Lima, Peru.
