• Each earring is 2 1/8" long, including the ear wires • I have always loved this type of glass and am happy to be carrying a line of earrings made from these lovely beads. Round lozenge-shaped hollow blown glass beads in a deep red, surrounded with black and pale pink lines make them look like hard candy to me, hence their name. These 20mm beads (25.4mm = 1 inch) are a must for red lovers. They are strung on black coated brass headpins and are nestled between black coated brass round beads and Tierra Cast bead caps, which are the highest grade of pewter possible. Tierra Cast is a U.S. made, lead-free pewter that also passes as culinary grade. It is even more durable and tarnish-resistant than sterling silver -- which is why I've been using these in favor of silver bead caps.
