Maxim Velokovsky is one of our favorate designers. This wine glass is based on the generic disposable dixie cup, but taken to a very different place. Working in borrosillicate glass, Czech craftsmen hand form each one, working them on a lathe so each one is very slightly different. Maxim explains that this is a deliberate choice - he wanted to take the form as far away from its plastic, mass-produced origins as possible. The lightness and strength of this glass make it a pleasure to drink from.
