Valentine's Day is fast approaching as we can all see by the huge red and pink hearts strewn throughout the stores-- or for those of you with that glass half empty perspective, you might replace "strewn" with "regurgitated." At any rate, these not-so-subtle reminders always force us to ponder just where our own relationship status stands, whether we protest the holiday or not. Then our next thought arises which is usually "what am I going to wear?" So where is it you find yourself this year? Single and not really wanting to mingle, but love fashion and an excuse to dress up? Or have a boo, but not a fan of such a commercialized holiday? Maybe you're a self-confessed sappy romantic that loves Valentine's Day, but thinks that the red and pink hearts are so elementary school. Perhaps you just want to throw out the usual kitschy hearts and cupids and find some cutting-edge looks for the 14th. Here are some unconventional ways to be spirited about Valentine's Day without going over the top, or even having to give in to cupid's arrow.
