Fresh Planners for the New Year!

Maybe I'm a huge nerd, but I think there's nothing more satisfying than starting a fresh planner come January. It might actually be my favorite part of the New Year (besides champagne and party dresses, of course). I'm a sort of devotee, so I'll be picking up this metallic aqua desk diary again this year. If you're not in such a long-term paper products relationship, I also love the Kate Spade canvas anne pocket organizer, which begs the question: can Kate Spade do any wrong? Check out my SLIDESHOW for lots of planners to time-manage in the New Year!

Resolve to Look Fab When Battling the Bulge!

Everyone knows that the first day of the year is a great time to set goals and get your rear, finances, or organization in gear. A pretty typical goal is to lose weight and get totally fit. Maybe your goals are purely health-related, but maybe you just want to be able to fit into designer samples. Either way, I've found some super-cute workout clothes sure to make you want to show them off at the gym. You'll definitely be shaking your tailfeather in PrAna's Sabin Racerback Tank and Izzie Pants. Don't be afraid to buy a few outfits - nothing is more valuable than your health and feeling (and looking!) great! Check out my SLIDESHOW for plenty of cute work out clothes! All you'll need is a killer playlist and some inspiration!

How To Soothe The Dreaded Post-NYE Hangover!

Are you gearing up for a big night for NYE? No matter how much you hydrate today, you may well be in for a little headache tomorrow morning. That being said, take in these tips and make your New Year's Day a little more pleasant. Some people are fans of the whole "hair of the dog" method, and if that's you, make some mimosas or mix up a Bloody Mary and keep the celebration going! If you just feel like putting back some nutrients in your body, go out for a fabulous brunch and down some Vitamin Water Revive or Emergen-C. A pampering spa treatment could also be just what you need to start the year off fresh. If nothing else, concealer and a giant pair of sunglasses never fail! Check out the SLIDESHOW, and have a wonderful night!

What Will You Be Wearing On New Year's Eve?

I love New Year's Eve because it's a great way to wrap up the holidays with a bang. These days, there are lots of options for the night, whether it's going to an ultra-glam black tie event, partying with friends in a ski lodge, or staying home to watch the ball drop on tv. So we want to know what you'll be wearing when the clock ticks midnight tonight! Will you be drinking champagne while wearing a little gold sequin dress? Or will you be keeping it low key with friends and family with a layered jumper? Maybe keeping it really low key at home with a comfortable nightie and cozy blanket?

Totally Silly And Competely Appropriate New Year's Eve Party Accessories!

One of the best parts of celebrating the arrival of the new year is going to a festive party where everyone is dressed to the nines but wearing the silliest accessories. I've seen girls wearing furry bikinis with the year stamped on the you-know-where and light-up tiaras. While I was freezing just looking at them, it was hard to ignore how much fun they were having (and the attention they were getting)! So for this New Year's Eve, it's ok to go all out and get silly with your family and friends. Make sure every photo has at least one pair of glowing sunglasses or furry pimp hat! For more accessories only appropriate for New Year's Eve, see the SLIDESHOW.

Party Decorations For New Year's Eve And Beyond!

Are you going to be the host of this year's biggest New Year's Eve bash for your friends and family? You may have the outfit planned and party favors laid out, but I found some great pieces of decor that will really brighten up the room! Best part is, you can continue to use everything well after celebrating the arrival of 2009! Take a look at the recipe cocktail shaker from Pottery Barn so you'll never have to memorize the recipe for a whiskey sour again! Everyone loves a classic chandelier, but if you don't have the real deal, fake it with a wall decal! So before you pop the bubbly, check out my SLIDESHOW for New Year's Eve party decor ideas!

It's almost New Year's Eve, and you probably have your dress, shoes, and bag all picked out. But what about your makeup? Maybe you haven't thought about it yet, so we've selected a few great lip products to set you up for the night. If you want to be really bold, go for a red lipstick like this appropriately-named Guerlain KissKiss Lipstick. Or take with you a shimmery plumping gloss like DuWop Moon Venom and balance it with a smoky eye. Whatever you decide, make sure you don't leave for your party without some lip gloss! Check out the SLIDESHOW, and you'll be ready for whatever comes your way when the clock strikes midnight with these great finds for a perfect pout!

Casual, Low-Key NYE Party Looks!

New Year's Eve is quickly approaching, and it looks like a lot of the party planning is actually party outfit planning- dress, heels, jewels, clutch, the whole deal! But since I'll be spending New Year's with a bunch of friends in a cabin in the snow, I'm going to leave the sparkly Betsey Johnson dress at home and slip into something a little more low-key. I'm thinking cozy-chic knits, slouchy boots, and just a bit of added glam- you get the idea! AKA New York's cashmere sweater dress is perfect for those parties where you're never sure how much to dress up- the silver lame skirt is a festive, no-fuss touch. If your plans call for not much more than a tee and jeans, add a vintage-inspired belt or a glitzy headband to jazz things up! Click the slideshow for easy outfit ideas and tips for a low-key, high style New Year's celebration.

Look Chic in Menswear for New Year's Eve!

Sick and tired of wearing the same little black dress on New Year's Eve? While it's typically a night for sequins and sparkles, you don't have to go to road most traveled. Set a resolution not to be dressed like everyone else and try something new! By 'new' I mean some sexy menswear that is sure to catch the eye of your special someone when the clock strikes midnight. Start with some black trouser or tuxedo pants, even buy them a size too big to get a cool slouchy look, a la Olsen twin. Top it off with a girly take on a menswear shirt, like this killer steal from J.Crew. Instead of a blazer or tuxedo jacket, try this season's must-have: an oversized vest- my pick is a long white silk one from Josh Goot. To keep the look sexy, sky high heels are a must. Finish the look off with a shiny patent clutch bag and a big bauble ring for some sparkle...it is New Year's Eve after all! Check out the slideshow to get all the pieces for this killer look.
