Daily Obsesh - Water Pebble

We all know we need to do it. It's there, in the back of our minds... but we never seem to remember. That's right, saving water. Water conservation is something that should be at the forefront of everyone's mind but we all know how hard it is to remember that while scrubbing up in the shower. That's why Paul Priestman has created one of the cleverest little inventions ever! This cool looking pebble gets placed in your shower by the drain and records how long you take your shower. Over time, it progressively shortens your shower time and gets you to conserve water without even thinking about it! You set it once, and the pebble does all the rest of the work. Just pay attention to the color of the dot on the pebble and when it turns red you know you've used too much. The best part about this device? Less than 10 dollars!

Hot In The Hive: InCase Convertible iPad Cover

If you've finally broken down and decided to buy a coveted Apple iPad, the last thing you want to do is damage the thing! Sure, you could nab any old zip-around neoprene case, nylon travel bag, or even a plastic or rubber shell for better no-slip... or you could go more luxe with leather! The InCase Convertible iPad Cover makes your iPad look like more than just the latest toy or a glorified, oversized iPhone. It gives the gadget a more professional look (even if you're just using it to watch Netflix on your afternoon break) and helps protect from cracks and unsightly fingerprint smudges, while also providing a folded stand so you can set up your own hands-free mini screen! And at only $59.95, it's a small price to pay for a stylish upgrade for your precious iPad!

Hot In The Hive: Russian Nesting Doll Flash Drive

Computers used to be the size of a conference room and required so many extra steps to do a simple procedure that brain surgery seemed only slightly harder than writing a document. Technology has no doubt changed drastically over the years. Now we have a little something called the internet, as well as laptops and computers that can fit into the palm of your hand. It's only logical that with a society that now relies heavily on computer data and usage, accessories and other cute, functional items for your computer and laptops are popping up everywhere. The Russian Nesting Doll flash drive is one of the more interesting and randomly fun computer/ laptop accessories out there and with 2GB of memory, it allows you to save and share your work while giving your job or school projects a touch of whimsy. Plus, this cute Russian Nesting Doll flash drive is so unique and colorful, that you'll easily spot which is your jump drive amongst the usual, more boring flash drive selections!

Hot In The Hive: Navy Roll n' Go Keyboard

I would be the first to tell you that a job in fashion is super fun and rewarding. I mean, you can't beat discovering up and coming designers, going to cool events, and getting a sneak peek at cool products not even in stores yet! It almost makes me embarrassed that I get paid to do all this. Almost. On the flip side, it's not all glamour. I have the habit of lugging around my laptop everywhere to blog at a moment's notice and I know all the cafes with free wi-fi by heart. Sometimes there are days where both my laptop and iPhone are dead and I desperately need to send off an email (RSVPing to every invitation is the polite thing to do, you know) and there's a crusty computer at the cafe. No worries, I just roll out the Roll n€™ Go Keyboard from PB Teen for a portable and sanitary keyboard on the go. I'd also leave it in the office just in case someone spills coffee over their keyboard and is in need for a temporary replacement!

Hot In The Hive: Graphic Lap Desk

I know I'm not alone when I say I take my laptop everywhere. After all, that's what their conveniently portable nature is for, right? But despite the name, working on one's laptop or netbook on the go (anywhere you can possibly get decent WiFi) isn't always as comfy as just setting it on your lap and tapping away. Your knees don't really make the best makeshift desk! This Graphic Lap Desk, courtesy of The Container Store, provides the perfect comfy portable tabletop to more easily work electronically, whether curled up in bed, at a meeting (sans desk), or sprawled on the floor. Plus, with a built-in cup holder (smart!), you won't risk spilling on your precious Macbook as you attempt to type one-handed with a drink in the other!

Price: $24.99

Hot In The Hive: Lady Gaga Macbook Decal

When I first bought my Macbook a few years ago, I was surely proud to be a new Apple owner, but I was already on the prowl for accessories and add-ons to make sure mine didn't look like every other apple-emblazoned 13" white gadget being touted to class. While I love the little bling I've added to mine, it probably won't come off without help from some serious power tools. That's why I wish I had discovered this Lady Gaga Decal from Etsy earlier! Inspired by "The Fame" album cover (or, as some would say, the Golden Age of Gaga), the vinyl decal can be customized to fit the size of your Macbook and created in your favorite color. Plus, what better way to make your laptop stand out than with a little Gaga flavor? Unless, of course, all the kids have them by now; it's been awhile since I've set foot in a lecture hall...

And The Winner Of The Jawbone ICON Bombshell Headset Is...

You're picky about what goes near those ears. Gold, diamonds, Tiffany silver - you don't need an occasion to get your glam on. The Jawbone ICON "Bombshell" Bluetooth headset was made for your stylish life. Designed by Yves Behar, it features all of the top notch specs you want from an earpiece, like NoiseAssassin technology and wind reduction, in one pretty little package that looks more like contemporary jewelry than a necessary tech tool. The tiny headset will whisper caller ID, tell you how much battery life you have left, and even let you download apps to your iPhone that allow you to update your Twitter account, send texts, or record reminders- all by using your voice, not your freshly manicured (or otherwise occupied) hands. Jawbone was rated #1 headset by CNET. The "Bombshell" is sold for $99.99, but we're giving one away!

Hot In The Hive: iPod Hoodie

Do you have a close relationship with your iPhone? Like really close? To the point that you practically treat it as if it's your own child? Well, good news -- now you can dress it up in mini clothes just like a baby with this iPod Hoodie from Fred Flare. The idea sounds completely ridiculous, but they're actually a whole lot cuter (and less annoying) than trying to dress up your dog in printed sweaters. Available in 2 sizes to suit up just about any Nano, iPhone, or ancient brick-sized iPod circa 2002, this tiny techie hoodie keeps your favorite gadget safe and warm while you're touting it all over town... and looks pretty stylish too. Just try to remember -- while it might communicate and assist you like a person (or better) and now dresses like a person too... your iPhone is not alive. Technically.

Gadget Of The Week: The LG Retro CTR Television

While most everyone waxes poetic (or.. not so poetic) about the recently unveiled iPad, we're going to venture into lowbrow electronic territory and discuss a less newsworthy (but more respectably titled) tech find: the LG retro CTR television. It's relatively small, only available in Korea, not sleek by any means, and has rabbit ears... wait, why are we so excited about this? For one, it combines old school charm with equally old school, albeit reliable technology. The 14-inch screen is the perfect size for smaller rooms, and would look positively adorable perched on the kitchen counter, if you have the space. At $216, it's not the kind of television you'll be paying off for months and months, and can totally double as decor. Sure, you can't play your video games on it, but it's a fun throwback to simpler times, dial knobs and all, and I like to think that the rabbit ears give it character.

What do you think?
