Recession Chic: Statement Jewelry Under $50

It's all about making a personal statement through jewelry these days. Chunky bracelets, multi-layered necklaces and huge earrings help add character and individual style to sleek outfits, but many times, these gorgeous works of wearable art cost more than we're willing to shell out. The great thing about statement jewelry is that it's eye-catching and highly memorable, but the downside is also how memorable it can be. Sure, you could wear your statement piece every day, and you'd certainly get your money's worth, but people would probably begin to notice and you might get bored of the piece yourself! Check out the slideshow for our favorite standout pieces and scoop up a few to add to your outfits- at under $50 each, you can shift your thinking to style statements, not bank statements!

Video Style Steal: Rihanna & Her Boys "Run This Town," Street Warrior Style

After all the relationship drama and Hollywood hype she's had to deal with in the past year, Rihanna is back -- and she's not coming quietly. In Jay-Z's latest single "Run This Town," also featuring Kanye West, RiRi makes it clear that she's armed and ready for the spotlight, stronger and fiercer than ever. The politically-charged video was filmed in New York's Fort Totten Park and depicts a chaotic mob revolt, representative of a more literal take on the song's title. While an exact replication of Rihanna's video get-ups may send more than a few quirked eyebrows your way, you can take her militia-style costumes as inspiration in perfecting your own look as a style soldier. Click "See Video" to watch Jay, Rihanna, & Kanye's video revolution, then check the slideshow to see some Rihanna-inspired pieces for your shopping pleasure. Photo Credit: MTV.com

Steal Her Style: Blake Lively's Summery Hamptons Look

Blake Lively is one of the most stylish starlets in Tinseltown -- and she doesn't work with a personal stylist. The outfit she recently wore to QVC's Super Saturday charity shopping event in the Hamptons was molto bene and perfect for a breezy summer day. Blake paired a form-fitting white mini by Herve Leger with a tailored blue-and-white-striped Oxford, and the classic preppiness of the shirt balanced the raciness of the eensie-weensie skirt. She finished the look with a pair of brown patent round-toe pumps and a long chain necklace. Here's how you can get her look for way less, courtesy of Lemondrop!

1. Elizabeth and James Schoolboy Shirt: This menswear-inspired shirt features ruched sleeves and back buttons to keep it looking fitted, not boxy. $264
2. Forever 21 Cut Off Denim Skirt: A crisp white skirt like this can be worn to a daytime BBQ or as an impromptu beach cover-up. $20
3. Matisse Pump: A thick wooden heel and shiny patent upper combine to make this pump a true eye-catcher. $42
4. Sequin Long Chain Necklace: Add some funky style to a more classic look with a fun, tiered chain necklace like this gorgeous silver version. $40

Fall Accessories Bring Silver And Gold Together At Last!

Whoever told you that silver and gold were clashing colors and therefore should never mingle within the same ensemble was seriously ill-advised! Though slightly unexpected, pairing silver and gold -- especially in the same piece -- is a bold and stunning combo, and it's popping up all over jewelry and accessories trends for the upcoming fall season! Mix things up with a chunky braided chain necklace, or tie your outfit together with a multicolored stud belt, among a variety of other chic options. While I certainly don't encourage you to simply pile on all the jewelry you own or accessorize without a second thought at color-coordination, just be aware that the two metals don't repel each other like opposite ends of a magnet, and can look great layered and mixed-and-matched. Take a look at the slideshow for some of the hottest multi-metal accessories!

Heavy Metal: Chain Necklaces Are Still Hot!

When it comes to jewelry, especially chains and anything with a rocker edge, I have a tendency to think more is more. Well, apparently I'm not the only one! Layered necklaces have been taken to a whole new level. Givenchy showed about a million little chain necklaces layered over a sleek pantsuit, but these necklaces don't have to be only for your goth moments-- they're perfect for spicing up a regular white t-shirt and jeans or even a prim and proper dress. Throw out the old thinking that you have to take off a piece of jewelry before you leave the house-- instead, add more! Layer on some of your own chains for a heavy metal look, or remix an old chain belt into a necklace. My absolute favorite jewelry designer, Justin Giunta for Subversive Jewelry, does chain necklaces like no one else. These messy, pre-layered necklaces are an amazing mix of chains and found objects that won't weigh you down! Check out the slideshow for options with prices ranging from budget to bank-breaking!
