From the controversy surrounding Nina Garcia's departure from Elle to the sudden shift from Bravo to Lifetime, the Project Runway drama off-screen could be a reality series on its own! There has been lots of talk about what will happen to the show when it switches networks. Heidi Klum sparked some headlines when she dished to Forbes about the show saying "The concept will be the same [but] it will have, definitely, a face-lift. The look of the show will change a little bit."
But don't lament the loss of the original formula just yet! Harvey Weinsteinwas at the Peabody Awards yesterday, and when I asked if the show would be getting a 'face-lift' when it moves to Lifetime, he sternly replied: "I don't think so. First of all, we're still doing a season on Bravo, that's next. And there will be no changes on Lifetime. Everybody's united: Michael, Nina, Heidi, Tim. So it's the same show, why tinker with a formula that works?" He went on to expound on said magical formula. "People love the creative process, they love the idea of watching people create and also being able to judge at the same time because we all have an opinion on clothing. I think we all identify with that so I think that's why it works."What do YOU think? Should they tweak or not? Tell us in COMMENTS!
