As the weather turns cooler in the coming weeks, it's time to bring out the layers and subdued tones.
As much as bright colors were a part of summer, vibrant earth tones are a staple for fall. Varying shades of camel and nudes, dusty brick reds, olive greens and stormy grey-blues now have their time in the spotlight.
Earth tones are versatile and make great layering pieces with just the right amount of color for the autumn weather.
We've turned to five of our favorite fashion bloggers to get their take on earth tones for fall.
Steffy from Steffy'sProsAndCons - Take a tip from Steffy and translate your favorite summer pieces into your favorite fall pieces! She says, 'For me, the perfect transition piece from summer to fall are over-the-knee socks. They don't overheat you, but they still keep you a little warm!'
Sietske from ConnectingToFashionServer - An ensemble of varying shades of the same hue is sleek and sophisticated. And Sietske also shows just how versatile earth tone pieces can be! Check out other ways she styled those amazing camel harem pants here and here!
Flavia from FashionCoolture - Flavia wear colors the right way for fall. A saturated and vibrant hue, like the burnished orange of her dress, is season appropriate and still bright enough to turn heads!
Amanda from OneOfEach - We love the classic combo of dusty rose and slate grey in Amanda's ensemble. Want a little more punch, though? Amanda advises, 'Earth tones are a great way to start an outfit. Pair earthy pieces together, or use them as the neutral base for your look and layer on the neon, or other bold shades.'
Chloe from Chloe'sAddicton - Chloe perfects the art of layering with her great fall pieces that are cozy, but still cute and feminine. About her look, Chloe says, 'I love this cardigan and socks combination. I find that earth tones are great clothing items to dress up with and are perfect for layering,'
