Stylishly Spooky Halloween Home Decor!

Halloween, as far as I'm concerned, starts at the beginning of October and only ends when the pumpkin sitting outside your front door finally turns to mush (or, on an equally sad note, when the candy runs out). If you couldn't tell, I pretty much think it's the most glorious holiday there is. Fuzzy spiders pop up everywhere, the office candy bowl turns black and orange, scary movies are on ALL the time (awesome!), and every party is a costume party. So when it comes to decorating, it's more than okay to invest in accents that go beyond crepe paper and jack-o-lanterns- after all, you never know when you'll get around to taking them down, and by the looks of the ones I've found, you may not want to! A sleek skull tray displays sugary sweets beautifully all October long, and when the trick-or-treating ends it's perfect for stashing your jewelry or keys. A Gothic style flocked chandelier adds sinister style to any room, especially this time of year, but is just as effective in toning down excess charm when the mood strikes. And a little of that fake cotton candy-reminiscent spiderweb fluff goes a long way. Putting only a few decorations up at a time will keep you from getting burned out too early in the month. If money's tight, look for items that have a little more staying power, like things that won't necessarily rot-- that's a job for your teeth, after all! Happy Halloween!
