NYFW Celeb Interview: Sophia Bush Into Bold Colors (Especially Green)

I give One Tree Hill actress Sophia Bush full credit for giving me the confidence to boldly walk up to celebrities and nab those exclusive interviews all you hivers love so much! I met the actress- an avid fashion week lover- after the spring ۪08 Abaet̩ show back in September- where I conducted my first EVER celebrity interview. I was so unbelievably nervous and clueless, I could barely pay attention to anything she said and couldn۪t stop my hand from shaking as I frantically tried to scribble it all down. Sophia and I came full circle and met up again this season after the Abaet̩ presentation- she was just as sweet and gracious as the first time we spoke- and was super excited about meeting up with me once again.

Read on for my exclusive interview with the stunningly gorgeous star for what she had to say about her personal style, looking sexy, and the spring trends she€™s craving.

Stylehive: How would you describe your personal style?
Sophia Bush: Feminine, always. And I like the understated, sexy look. I think that good tailoring is sexier than a lot of skin- it€™s all about the shape and fabric that drapes well.

Stylehive: Favorite trends for spring?
SB: I love bold colors; it€™s a big thing for me. I think the safari look is always classic- we see it every year it always comes back for a reason. But what I€™m really excited about is seeing how many companies are launching eco-friendly fashion- because for a person who tried to be as green as possible- I think that that€™s great and I€™m excited to pick up Natalie Portman€™s new line of shoes. I don€™t have quite the willpower to give up on the Loubtoutin€™s or the Marni€™s forever, but I think the tinier we can make our carbon pollutants the better. Another thing for me for this little transition between winter and spring - when temperatures are chilly but not freezing- is good cashmere. My girlfriend Alisha Levine is such a phenomenal designer and she just started doing all her great silk tops in cashmere, and they€™re STUNNING- because they€™re cashmere sweaters but they€™re thin.

Stylehiive: What shows are you looking forward to?
SB: I€™m really excited about Herve Leger. Monique Lhullier is one of my favorites- I can€™t wait to see what she€™s doing. Ports 1961 is Monday, and they€™re like €˜die on the floor€™ amazing for me, so I€™m really looking forward to it.
