Style News: Shopping Robot Invades Japanese Mall, Purchases Hat

I'm thinking it too-- where else would something like this happen? Evidently the shopbot, created by Tmsuk, was being controlled by an elderly woman on her cellphone, sitting her home miles away. The video-capable phone allowed her to see through the eyes of the robot so she- well, it- could browse. It finally settled on a hat which it was able to successfully purchase. For some reason I have images of arcade claw machines and Rosie from The Jetsons filling my mind. If it can try on swimsuits and hold my place in line for the 3G, I'm sold..
