Save Your Soles: Big News From Christian Louboutin

You have saved your pennies, or simply splurged, or maybe you are lucky enough to just go out and buy a closet full of Christian Louboutins. Now that you have them, all the jet-setting from party to party has left the best part, the luscious red soles, scratched and worn. What to do? How to get them back? Read ahead for the news told exclusively to Stylehive about how this won€™t be a problem anymore.

I wanted to know how to save the soles of my precious Louboutins. Normally, I get my shoes re-soled whenever it is needed to extend their life but with Christian Louboutins, any sole from even the best shoe repairperson will not suffice. The trademark red sole is part of the pleasure and identity of these hand-crafted wonders. I contacted my friends at Louboutin to ask what is the best way to preserve and repair the soles. I was told that Christian was working on something to solve this problem and that Paris would have to be contacted for a definitive answer.

A few days later I heard back, and then the glorious news was revealed: by the end of 2008 every pair of Christian Louboutin shoes will come with an extra red sole. Genius! Thanks so much, Christian and to your team for making all of us shoe lovers sleep a little easier at night. And remember Stylehivers, you heard it here first.

:( anything every happen with this? I've bought 3 pairs in 2009 and 2 pairs this year and none have come with extra red soles. The last 2 I bought (this year, 2010) have come with extra heel taps in their very own dust bags but alas - no extra red soles.
