NYFW Runway Report: BCBG MaxAzria's Subdued Chic

The BCBG Maxazria fall/winter €™08 collection was a true celebration of femininity. All the looks were flowy, delicate, ethereal, and fun- which is always a pleasure to see on fall runway show usually replete with dark, dreary colors. Just as we saw on the spring €™08 runway show, no look was complete without a waist-cinching belt. The color palette was mostly neutral, we saw an endless procession of pale color schemes in tan, taupe, cream, ivory, and any other shade in that family. Towards the end, however, the colors came out to play, although, in more subdued shades than we saw during the spring shows.The delicate, breezy silhouettes and intricate draping and folds, light, airy colors, combined with minimal makeup, and bed-head hair- this collection definitely took goddess-chic to a whole new level.
