NYFW Runway Report: Tracy Reese Gets In Touch With Mother Nature

In a season filled with dark and muted tones, Tracy Reese presented a fall/winter €™08 collection replete with beautifully rich jewel-tones, soft airy fabrics, and cheerful patterns and prints. Tracy used nature as a source of inspiration for this collection: green was the dominant color, along with blue and neutral shades. We also saw beautiful floral frocks, soft sheath dresses, feathered embellishments, and striking animal prints. The theme on this runway was anything goes: large oversized sweaters with fancy sequined skirts, mixing gold and silver, bold colors with bold animal prints, fancy frocks with €˜don€™t mess€™ lace up boots. Being bold and beautiful was clearly the take-home message.

Stylehive Scorecard:
Color Palette: Green, Blue, Fuchsia, Gold
Cuts/Styles: High-waisted trousers, drop waist dresses, loose and free-flowing
Inspiration: Green pastures, stormy waves, wild animals, beautiful sunsets, flowers - anything and everything beautiful in the natural world.
