According to The New York Times, Project Runway is €œthe Prada of reality shows.€� Filled with fashion, models, celebrities and of course, high drama, Project Runway is the most addicting fashion reality show on television. The prize is a chance to show at New York Fashion Week, a Banana Republic mentorship, an ELLE fashion spread, and $100,000. Hosted by supermodel Heidi Klum, judges include renowned fashion designer Michael Kors and ELLE Magazine Fashion Director, Nina Garcia.
Each challenge assigned to the contestants pushes their individual creativity (and nerves!) to the limit. For example, one of Season Two€™s challenges included the design of a dress constructed only of plants and flowers. The designers design and sew the garment, usually with only seconds to spare. The celebrity judges evaluate the designers€™ outfits on the runway.
