Project Runway: Ousted Simone Tells Stylehive What Really Happened Last Night!

Project Runway is back! Last night saw this year's group of designer wannabe's, presented with $50,000 worth of luxurious fabrics, work tirelessly into the wee morning hours before gathering on the runway in front of Monique Lhuillier and the rest of the gang.

While it seemed as though Elisa, who took a nap instead of perfecting her design, and whose model couldn€™t even WALK in her creation, would get the boot, poor Simone, who worked ferociously until the last second, was instead sent packing. Stylehive just spoke with the ousted designer to find out what really happened.

Stylehive: The judges claimed your design lacked a 'wow' factor. Agree?

Simone: I think my dress was beautiful. It wasn€™t as big as a lot of the pieces. I€™m proud of my piece and I stand behind it.

SH: You tried to follow Tim Gunn€™s advice, but Elisa, who completely ignored his tips and took a nap, didn't get the boot. Unfair?

Simone: I felt like as far as coming from an aesthetic point of view, it was completely unjustified. There were other factors that go into it as well; it€™s not all about design. So in that sense, I understand why Elisa stayed. But I think my design was beautiful and my dress should have carried me through to the next round.

SH: If you could go back, what would you do differently?

Simone:If I could go back, I probably would have done just one piece, that definitely would have helped me with time. I wouldn€™t have chosen the silk charmeuse fabric. Actually scratch that, if I could go back, I would have chosen a long piece - a turquoise jersey dress!

SH: How was the overall Project Runway experience for you?

Simone:I€™d say peaks and valleys. It was a fantastic unique experience, it was very trying and exhausting, but it was also a lot of fun. I truly met some amazing people and I€™m very thankful for that.

SH: Any messages for your fellow castmates?

Simone: I would just say stick to what they do, try to keep their eyes wide open and integrity intact as much as possible.

SH: Who do you think will win and why?

Simone: To tell you the truth, it€™s very hard to tell. There are people that have real technical aptitude and people who have a real visionary aspect. My opinion changes.
