Project Runway is BACK! The second competition entailed designing a look for a true fashion icon.
Speculation ran rampant, however, NO ONE was expecting Ms. Manolo Blahnik herself - Sarah Jessica Parker - to walk through the door. After pairing off, contestants were given $15 to purchase fabrics and charged with creating a two-piece look based on SJP€™s BITTEN line, a luxurious, yet affordable, line which caters to women of all ages, shapes, and sizes. The pressure was ON as contestants pushed their creative thresholds to the limit- fueled by the prospect of their creation being included in BITTEN€™S fall/winter collection. Again, it seemed as though crazy Elisa, (whose nuttiness even had Heidi questioning what planet she's from) would get the boot. However, the eccentric designer somehow managed to make it WORK, and instead, Marion, was told to pack up his Pocahontas-esque potato sack of a design and hit the road. Stylehive just spoke to the latest bootee to get the scoop on what really happened. Stylehive: So how are you holding up?Marion: I don't think anyone can totally forget or get over being voted off. The show is so magnified that when you are told you are out it really does a number on you. But every fall makes the next step stronger.SH: Did you agree with the judges' decision?
Marion: The judges were fair. I come from an avant garde approach to design, so being judged by people in the industry who are devoted to the latest trends was unnerving.SH: Which remaining designer do you really like?
Marion: Elisa is my favorite designer left on the show. She is very interesting and there is a lot of meaning behind her designs. I think she is a visionary and there is passion in her work.SH: Any regrets?
Marion: I got along with everyone. I didn't succumb to the reality TV drama that viewers crave.
