NYFW Parties: Hanging With Gossip Girls and Heatherette Boys - Stylehive

Stylehive was out celebrating the New Old Navy last night along with some of our favorite stars - including - sigh- Gossip Girl hunk Chace Crawford - who apparently is never one to miss a party since we see him everywhere! Chace was very Old Navy-appropriate, rocking the scruffy casual look in jeans and a hooded sweatshirt. His co-star Blake Lively, who was expectedly goddess-like in person, also kept in casual in a loose black top with metal studs around the collar, tight gray trousers, and pumps. Also there was Gossip Girl herself Kristen Bell, who opted for a contrast belted dress, which perfectly complemented her teeny tiny petite frame.

Hayden Panettiere took a break from saving the whales to party it up and rocked the secretary-chic look, which she seems to have adopted as her signature style, in a sleeveless ivory blouse and a black high-waisted pencil skirt. Sophia Bush, still number one on my list of nicest celebrities EVER, looked stunning, although a tad bit over dressed on a draped, asymmetrical one shoulder black dress. Natasha Bedingfield, who performed at the event, wore a bold NOTICE ME bronze-colored metallic trench coat.

We also caught up with the boys of Heatherette - Traver Rains and Richie Rich - who were both rockin the €˜cowboy-chic€™ look, which Traver explained was an homage to his Montana upbringing. During our chat, Richie told me the key to attaining a unique sense of style is to not think too much and to just blindly grab at items hanging in your closet and see what happens. €œI think a girl or a guy should just walk in their closet and just pick and choose. It€™s all about how you shop, like Old Navy is good to buy the basics, and buy what you can afford that€™s higher end and mix it up. Throw in thrift store, vintage, whatever!"

The boys will sadly not be presenting their collection during fashion week, opting to focus on future projects on the horizon instead, including a collaboration with MAC Cosmetics this spring. Their best makeup secret? Well according to Richie, it€™s all about the lashes. €œThe one thing you need on a deserted island is mascara!€�
