It's finally getting cold in San Francisco, and I plan on using the suddenly season-appropriate weather to my advantage. And while actually having a decent excuse for skipping out on a morning run due to impending rain is probably causing an irrational level of excitement as it is, it's the idea of staying indoors and drinking hot cocoa with marshmallows three times a day (Sugar Free Swiss Miss, I am forever indebted to you) that's really making me appreciate the weather. Since there's really nothing better than spending a chilly day curled up on the couch with your favorite book, DVD, person, or bottle of wine (in the evening, of course), I've put together an assortment of cozy blankets and throws that will make those moments even more irresistible! I'm especially drawn to the cable knit throws that luxury knitwear label Lutz & Patmos created in collaboration with West Elm- imagine your favorite oversized sweater made even bigger- then imagine sleeping in it. Might want to have these gift wrapped when you order them so your potential holiday gifts don't fall victim to a love at first snuggle situation! Check out the slideshow for my favorites.
Hive Tip: While a cashmere throw sounds divine, it will most likely be 10x the price of your favorite cashmere sweater, and you'll cringe anytime someone comes within 5 feet of it with drinks- which during the holiday season, is a lot of cringing. Chenille throws are just as comfortable, if not more so, and they're cheap!
