Nicky Hilton Talks S&M Style With Stylehive

When I spotted Nicky Hilton (aka the quieter, less controversial, and overall more normal Hilton girl) at the Alice + Olivia fall/winter ۪08 presentation, looking incredibly chic, as always, and sporting a gorgeous black Herm̬s bag we mere mortals could never afford, I knew I had to try my luck and get a quick interview. While I was kind of expecting her to be a five letter word that rhymes with "witch," I was super surprised to find that she۪s incredibly sweet and down to earth!

I can€™t deny that I sort of covet Nicky€™s style - she always looks so put together and classic, a far cry from the outlandish, street-walker-esque styles we see on her big sis Paris! And unlike other celebs, that just tack their names onto clothing labels and call themselves designers, Nicky really seems to take an active role in her collections and is definitely very much in tune with fashion.

Stylehive: What is your best tip for looking great?
Nicky Hilton: I love accessories, I€™m really into jewelry, I didn€™t bring that much today because it€™s all in LA! But I love diamonds. I think you should wear them during the day, I don€™t think they should only be worn at night.

Stylehive: Spring trend must haves?
NH: I€™m really into the sherbet tones, and big belts, colored tights, ankle boots, oversized bags, and cat-eye makeup.

Stylehive: How is your own fashion line - Nicholai - going?
NH: Great! I€™m going to be showing at LA fashion week in March.

Stylehive: What can we expect?
NH:Really tailored, somewhat S&M inspired jackets. There€™s definitely an English country meets S&M theme going on- a lot of leather and patent leather, buckles, bondage, all that.

Stylehive: What are your €˜can€™t leave the house without them€™ essential items?
NH: Rose bud lip gloss, sunglasses, bronzer, blackberry, and gum.
