NYFW Runway Report: In With The New And Old at Hervé Léger

Simply stunning is all that can be said about the Herv̩ L̩ger fall/winter ۪08 collection (I swear, I even saw Anna Wintour crack a few smiles during the presentation!). The looks were sleek, gorgeously structured, and modern, while still staying true to the signature Herve Leger bandage-dress. The old blended beautifully with the new in this collection which was inspired by the sweeping brushstrokes of Pierre Soulages. The impeccable craftsmanship, precise embellishment placement, and precise tailoring all maintained the house's signature style, while the new use of color and unique shape interpretations updated the classic look for the modern woman.

The show was divided into two segments, the first showcased Max Azria€™s vision, providing an array of looks that added modern elements to the bandage style, like feathers, lace, organza, corsets, and feathers and bead embroidery, while the second was comprised of an array of classic mini bandage dresses in rich colors like teal, amethyst, and navy.

Max Azria, who revived the iconic brand and has re-established the bandage look as a celeb must have stated €œI€™ve spent the last year focusing on redesigning and reinventing the brand while staying true to the house€™s heritage.€ Mission accomplished!
