New York Fashion Week Celeb Exclusive: Rosario Dawson Talks Beauty and Style - Stylehive

I got the chance with the exotically beautiful Rosario Dawson after the Miss Sixty show (looking amazing in the Miss Sixty Dessert Dress and red patent belt from the Spring '09 collection) and was blown away by two things: one, she€™s even MORE beautiful in person, like seriously flawlessly gorgeous, and two, she is so, so, SO, unbelievably sweet! Even though her handlers where trying to rush her out, Rosario ignored them and kept on chatting away! Kinda wanna be like Rosario? Well read on for my exclusive interview with the star to find out all her style and beauty secrets!

Stylehive: Who are your top 3 favorite designers?
Rosario: Oh God I don€™t know, it changes all the time. I don€™t have a really distinct personality, or style, it€™s kind of all over the place, chaos is more how I€™d like to think of it! So I guess it depends on my mood I guess really, who my favorites are at the time. That€™s like trying to pick music, it€™s hard to pick what you€™re favorites are - yeah, I can put together a playlist of things I€™m listening to right now, but my all time favorite songs? I mean you got a lot of guilty pleasures out there, you can put some really bad music on and it might make me misty!

Stylehive: What€™s your go-to fool-proof outfit?
Rosario: I don€™t have a go-to; it really depends on what it is, like what time of the day, where you are in the world. What feels really sexy to me is a slip dress and flip-flops in New York in the summer time, I love that. Especially the same thing in Venice beach - you just see pretty girls on their bicycles with the baskets and like going shopping and just simple, no makeup or anything. But then you get super dressed up like at these things and it€™s really fun, and then you have feeling sexy in a pair of your boyfriend€™s jeans, so it really depends on your mood!

Stylehive: What are some of your best beauty secrets?
Rosario: Just put a good heavy moisturizer at night. I fly a lot so I make sure I put on a lot of lotion before I go flying and just constantly applying. I put sunscreen on, I just think that€™s really important and I just don€™t use foundation, tinted moisturizers is a really good way to go so you€™re face is still getting SPF, still getting a nice color, but it looks natural - it€™s your skin, so letting it breathe a little bit is important.

Stylehive: Any favorite products?
Rosario: I started using Mineral makeup. I don€™t really like powder but it€™s good to do that for the summer time to keep you€™re face dry. That€™s one of those things that can keep your face clean because you€™re not wiping your face every five seconds with your hands when you€™re sweating. So it€™s really good to use a powder and I like mineral powder because its got - I don€™t know- minerals in it! So it€™s not as clogging as other stuff.
