NYFW Backstage Beauty: Get the Ethereal Tadashi Makeup Look

The Tadashi Shoji Spring 2009 collection was all about natural femininity with airy colors and ethereal silhouettes that had a goddess-like feel with hints of flirty sex-appeal. Lead makeup artist Luc Boucharb for MAC drew upon the soft architectural concepts behind the collection when creating the look, which he described as "pure with a bit of naughtiness." The look was very natural, effortless and soft, and it's incredibly easy to replicate. Considering invisible makeup that lets your natural beauty shine through will never go out of style, read on for a step-by-step guide to get the look.

Face: Start by evening out the skin with a tinted moisturizer or concealer to create an even canvas.

Eyes: Curl the lashes and apply mascara on the the top and bottom (MAC Pro Lash Mascara, $12). Brush the brows a little bit with Brow Set in Mink, $13.50, a very neutral color that gives a hint of more shape.

Cheeks: Apply a very light pink blush (Pink Swoon, $18) on the cheekbones and bring it down a bit to create a natural flush.

Lips: Dab some concealer on the lips to even out the color and then apply a see-through lip color (Not So Shy, $14) with your finger to achieve a 'bitten' look.
