Paris Style: Stéphanie Cesairé Hand-Built Handbags Are Luxe Throwbacks

Remember luxury? Timeless designs of irreproachable quality characteristic of the past (sigh). Just when I thought I۪d spiraled into nostalgic despair of the disappearance of such exquisite quality, I stumbled upon French designer St̩phanie Cesair̩, whose creations remind us that the luxury flame is still being carried by a select few.

After collaborations with big guns like Karl Lagerfeld (Lagerfeld Gallery), Alber Elbaz (Guy Laroche), LVMH (Kenzo), and most recently Nina Ricci, it€™s no wonder that Cesaire€™s leitmotif is that each creation must be "rare and eternal."

Bags are constructed by hand, not a robot, in the Parisian atelier from only the best Italian leather and hardware bought locally at the Canal Saint Martin. The collections are then distributed to the world€™s most prestigious boutiques and department stores from Paris to New York to Hong Kong and Japan.

In March, Césaire opened the doors of her first boutique in the very exclusive Saint Honoré "quartier" in Paris. The boutique is an oasis of pure organic surfaces - all wood and glass - reflecting the refined and clean design of the Césaire bags. Belted maxi-totes, dreamy leathers and crocodile skins€¦the collections have just the right amount of edgy style and Parisian chic for all you fashionistas!
