If you're looking for high-class bling, look to Charlotte Bjorlin D'Elia. Starting out in while in school in Monaco, her jewelry pieces became so popular that it turned from a hobby to a career. Riding the statement jewelry trend seen in fall 2008 runway shows, Charlotte makes stunning pieces with bold looks meant to be front and center. She juxtaposes precious metals for fierceness with exquisite gemstones and delicate craftsmanship for elegance. Using motifs of stars, crosses, birds, monkeys and more, her cuffs are a must see - large bangles with ornate designs that will bring that little black dress to a whole new level. See the SLIDESHOW to feast your eyes on her sumptuous creations.
Meet CharlotteI have designed a bit of everything, ever since high school - furniture, clothing, interiors. The jewelry started when I went to school in Monte Carlo and, as a hobby, created jewelry from vintage flea market finds and antique gems. They became really popular with the crowd and I started making jewelry on commission. I started making jewelry again two years ago, when a stylist called and asked for several pieces for a special client. Then Barneys called and asked me to create a full collection.Charlotte's Inspirations
It is a constantly moving target - I am an obsessive observer, scanning my surroundings - landscapes, architecture, the street, the half pipe, the homeless woman in the park€¦ It is all digested and those images that really stir in my consciousness remain and seep into what I create. What's Next for Charlotte
I am working on a collection with an LA fashion designer - the collaboration process is exciting.Charlotte For Sale
