Tadashi Shoji presented an exceptionally ethereal collection of dresses and separates for his Spring 2009 collection, casting a soft glow over the already illuminated runway. Geometric patterns gave depth and intrigue to seasonless silk faille and organza tops and dresses, while sheer silk anoraks topped jersey tops and cotton skirts, adding dimension to the transparent layers. Paperbag skirts cinched basic tanks and cascading ruffles framed cocktail dresses in deep blues and alabaster whites, occasionally accompanied by splashes of neon yellow. Stuart Weitzman heels and sunglasses by Oliver Peoples added sleek refinement to the light, airy ensembles.
