The Charlotte Ronson Spring 2009 collection gave 90s grunge a modern spin with fun, youthful styles with a rebellious twist. Fittingly, the makeup look was inspired by early Madonna- strong brows, smoldering eyes, and contoured cheeks for a grungy, sexy, undone look. I got the chance to hang backstage before the show to see how Beauty.com makeup artist Tina Turnbow created the look.
Read on for a step-by-step guide to replicate this smokin€™ style. 1) Face: Apply Tarte 4-in-1 Earaser Concealer, $19, and dust the face with Provacateur Pressed Mineral Powder, $28 for a matte, natural face. For a bit of contour, apply Tarte Mineral Powder Bronzer, $28 along the cheeks. 2) Eyes:Apply Green Machine, $14, a matte olive shadow, to the eyes followed by EmphasEYES High-Definition Eye Pencil in Chocolate, $18. Finish with a thick coating of Lash Hugger Eco-Friendly Natural Mascara, $18, and a strong €œMadonna€� brow. 3) Lips:
Keep the lips natural and soft with 24/7 Lip Sheer with SPF 15 in Tea Time, $14, a deep rose hue.
