I was having a conversation a few weeks ago with a friend about our TV-watching habits. While he's watching crime dramas and more serious fare, I've been solely dedicated to fashion favorite "Project Runway" (of course!) and musical hit "Glee." I've always been a sucker for musicals and musicals plus high school makes it even better. While some of the plot lines can be pretty outrageous, there's no denying that all the actors are super talented and also have some pretty savvy fashion sense. My three favorite characters of the show, Rachel Berry, Mercedes Jones, and Sue Sylvester all have their own unique sense of style, and although fashion is far from the show's focus, it's certainly worth noticing. Rachel's preppy style with schoolboy blazers and cable-knit sweaters exemplify her character's perfectionism. On the other side, Miss "diva-in-training" Mercedes always wears bright colors and has plenty of bling too. Lastly, Sue may be a tough cookie and wears those Adidas tracksuits like they're going out of style, but her unapologetic attitude is a reminder that we should always be confident in ourselves. A fantastic show - I'm in love with in Emma Pillsbury's mash up of preppy & vintage clothing. Her ocd character pulls off the look effortlessly. Rachel's outfits also mix the old with new - what a wonderful way to show off your personality, while not breaking the bank!
