Psychedelic. That's all there is to say about the Miss Sixty fall/winter ۪08 collection. But I'll go on anyway. Because the theme went beyond the clothes and onto the d̩cor, with the runway splattered in DayGlo colors and peace signs, and several huge, dizzyingly colorful buses as the backdrop.
The collection was strongly influenced by the swingin' sixties, but still stayed true to the signature Miss Sixty vibe by keeping the looks sexy, fun, and funky. Haute hippie and the classic bohemian aesthetic were strong inspirations in this collection (bucking the fall shows' general trend toward cool refinement) which reflected the passionate, free-thinking, rock €˜n€™ roll mindset that dominated the 60€™s and 70€™s (so I've heard). We saw groovy multicolor stripes, neon accents, tie-dyed prints, and fun and unexpected fabric pairings - think heavy wool, soft silk, slinky jersey, all combined to produce lush layers and give each look a very vintage-y feel. We also saw bold accessories: an homage to a time period when people just didn€™t care, man, like big leather belts, bold bags, layers of jewelry, and "I don't want you to see my dilated pupils" shades. Confident, liberating, and so totally groovy! Stylehive Scorecard:Color Palette: Green, Orange, Purple, Yellow
Cuts/Styles: Chunky Layers, Mixing Fabrics, High-Waists, Slouchy Pants, Tailored Jackets
