NYFW Runway Report: Mara Hoffman Gets Cultural

Inspired by the €œjourneywoman going through different deserts and lands and collecting different textiles€ the Mara Hoffman fall/winter €™08 collection was completely accessible, wearable, and contained something for everyone. From funky hoodies, to belted trenches, to sheer blouses, to flowy frocks, to super skinny pants, to belted sweaters, to monochrome to bold patterns- each look in this eclectic collection was infused with a cool laidback rocker-chic culturally-inspired essence. We saw the swingin€™ 60€™s revived with bright bold patterns, and hints of haute-hippie with the brown leather, too cool aviator shades, and earth-inspired hues, plus touches of the wild wild west with long leather vests that resembles gun-holsters- all of which were updated with the sky high stilettos and incredible riding boots matched with each look.

Stylehive Scorecard:
Color Palette: Black, Ivory, Green, White
Cuts/Styles: Loose layers, Belted coats, Hoodies, Skinny pants, Graphic Patterns.
The Vibe: Rocker cool meets hippie chic.
