Beauty Exclusive: Lindsay's Colorist Spills Her Secrets! - Stylehive

Lindsay Lohan is the leader of the pack when it comes to RHS - Restless Hair Syndrome. Most recently, Lilo headed to hair-colorist to the stars, Tracy Cunningham, Redken's creative consultant for color (and the colorist for Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Lopez, just to name a few), to get back in touch with her darker side. So I got in touch with Tracy, who told me she used Redken Shades EQ to darken Lindsay's locks. Stylehive: Why did Lindsay decide to go back to dark hair?

Stylehive: What was her reaction to the end-result color?
TC: Lindsay was so happy with the color! She loved the way it turned out and how shiny and conditioned Shades EQ made her hair.

Stylehive: Any tips on on how someone can get this hair color?
TC: Lindsay's natural hair color is red, so I brought her hair color back by putting in some deep red tones. Then I put in really rich brown color. Everyone can achieve this color just be sure to ask your colorist to use Redken's Shades EQ to provide great color and keep the hair shiny.

Stylehive: Lindsay has been through every hair color under the rainbow €“ what do you think most suit's her complexion and why?
TC: I like Lindsay when her hair is a deep red or dark brown. The colors suit her natural hair color and complement her skin tone and eyes beautifully.

Stylehive: A lot of celebs constantly change their hair color€“ does this damage the hair? How can you experiment with color but not ruin your hair?
TC: You need to be careful when frequently changing your hair color. Try Redken€™s Shades EQ demi-permanent haircolor, which acts like a conditioner.
